Maicon interested in joining Mourinho at Real Madrid

MInter Milan defender Maicon is happy to stay at European champions but has admitted he would be interested in following Jose Mourinho to Real Madrid if the coach wants him. Brazilian star Maicon has been an integral part of Inter's success this season. Mourinho appears certain to take charge at the Bernabeu after leading Inter to European glory there on Saturday, and Maicon, 28, is known to be a favourite of the Portuguese.
"To leave Inter?,'' Maicon said. "I have a contract and I want to respect it. "If he (Mourinho) wants me at Real, then we would have to see if (Inter president Massimo) Moratti agrees.''
For now, Maicon is celebrating after Inter clinched a treble-winning season with last night's 2-0 win over Bayern Munich.
"We have made history,'' he said."This is a great thing for us, it's wonderful. "Many congratulations and thanks to Mourinho who's a great man and coach.''
