Spurs put red alert for Diego Forlan

TOTTENHAM have been put on red alert after Diego Forlan indicated he is ready for a return to the Premier League.

Forlan, 31, rebuilt his career at Atletico Madrid after being shown the door by Manchester United in 2004 after a poor 30 months.
Last season his goals took Atletico to Europa League glory.
And the Uruguay ace stuck with the unfancied La Liga side despite being named World Cup player of the tournament.
His contract still has three years to run but Forlan wants out and that will rekindle Spurs boss Harry Redknapp's interest.
Forlan said: "Everybody says things, that maybe you don't want to go back.
"The time I had in England was great and if I had the chance to go back I'd be really happy."
