ARSENAL are £5.5million move for Federico Marchetti

ARSENAL are lining up a £5.5million move for Italy World Cup keeper Federico Marchetti.

His Cagliari club president Massimo Cellino said last night: "Marchetti has expressed his desire to leave.
"The only real club pushing for his signature is Arsenal and we will do everything to make him happy."
Wenger has targeted another keeper after losing faith with Spaniard Manuel Almunia.
The Arsenal boss is confident he can land Marchetti, 27, now his transfer request has been granted by Cagliari.
Wenger has turned to him after a £2m bid for Fulham veteran Mark Schwarzer was rejected.
Marchetti said: "My characteristics are based on strength but courage and understanding of your abilities are the basis for success."
Almunia, 33, started last night as Arsenal completed their Austrian tour with a 4-0 win over SC Neusiedl.
He then made way for Vito Mannone, who saved a second-half penalty.
The manager also refused to deny a possible £10m bid for Werder Bremen's Germany centre-half Per Mertesacker.
New striker Marouane Chamakh - signed on a free transfer from Bordeaux - was one of last night's scorers with his first goal for the club.
As for the future of Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas, Wenger insisted: "There are still noises from Barcelona - but that is all it is.
"In our job you don't worry about things you cannot control.
"We are very happy with Cesc at the club. He is a very important and is our captain. We have worked very hard with him."
