MARK HUGHES is set to be named Fulham boss today.
Former Manchester City, Blackburn and Wales manager Hughes has stressed how settled he was in the North-West.But after talks with his family, he agreed to head South and last night was thrashing out the final details of his contract.
He is in line for a £2million-a-season, three-year deal, similar to the one offered Martin Jol.
Hughes looks likely to bring his trusted right-hand man Mark Bowen as assistant.
Hughes' arrival is a massive relief to Craven Cottage chiefs after the Jol fiasco. They had contingency plans to approach Sven Goran Eriksson or Ottmar Hitzfeld if their latest move failed.
Hughes' first game will be Saturday's friendly at Portsmouth with their opening Premier League match at Bolton two weeks later.
He will be under pressure as successor to Roy Hodgson who led Fulham to the Europa League final.
